Disney unveils first batch of concerts for Epcot flower fest

A partial lineup for Disney World’s Garden Rocks concert series, a musical element of the Epcot Internatio­nal Flower & Garden Festival, has been announced. For the first time, the performanc­es will be seven days a week, bringing the total number of concerts to 270 next spring.

Among the Garden Rock newbies are TobyMac, Men at Work’s Colin Hay and the Smithereen­s. Revealed artists thus far are: March 9-10: Glass Tiger March 17-20: Simple Plan March 28-29: Berlin (featuring Terri Nunn) March 30-31: The Smithereen­s April 3-4: Christophe­r Cross April 5-7: The Spinners April 12-13: Sister Sledge April 17-19: Sister Hazel April 20-21: Steven Curtis Chapman April 22-23: TobyMac April 24-26: Lonestar April 27-30: The Orchestra (former members of ELO)

May 1-4: Herman’s Hermits (starring Peter Noone) May 5-7: Don Felder May 20-21: Colin Hay Look for about 10 more acts to fill in the gaps. The 90-day festival runs from March 6 through June 3.

Concerts will be held at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. nightly. They are included in regular Epcot admission.

The park offers a Garden Rocks dining package that includes a meal in an Epcot restaurant and guaranteed concert seating. Reservatio­ns will be accepted starting Dec. 13. For more info or for reservatio­ns, call 407-939-3463 or go to FreshEpcot.com.
