Ticked off!

- @Tebow coverage

I’m ticked off

at the media’s continued and inane coverage given to everything that Tim Tebow does. He was a mere flashin-the-pan quarterback at a Florida university. His excursion into the realm of profession football was a catastrophic flop. It seems that he used the gridiron simply as a stage for his dramatic religious expressions. His foray into the realm of professional baseball was more catastrophic. So please, stop covering Timmy T, a royal has-been.

To the pizza

delivery driver on Nebraska Street who gave me the finger and cursed: I looked both ways and had plenty of time to pull out of my residential neighborhood. If you had come to a full stop and obeyed the speed limit you would not have almost caused an accident. You may hate your job or life, but cursing at me isn't going to change the facts, or the blame.

Although I’m sensitive

to the plight of the poor and impoverished, there is no excuse for all these folks to be panhandling at busy intersections in our area, especially the major intersection of Semoran Boulevard and Aloma Avenue. These people are a dangerous distraction for drivers who are already distracted with the electronics in their cars or in their hands. There must be other social programs available to help these people and keep them out of dangerous intersections.
