Person of interest detained in investigat­ion of 7-Eleven stabbing

Deputies have detained a person of interest in the death investigat­ion of a man found stabbed at a 7-Eleven in Orlando on Sunday, according to an Orange County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

Deputies responded to the 7-Eleven at 3974 South Orange Blossom Trail around 2:11 a.m. in response to an aggravated battery and found a 45-year-old man unresponsi­ve with stab wounds on his chest, Lt. Ken Taylor said in a press release.

A 53-year-old man has been detained as a person of interest, Taylor said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the Orlando Regional Medical Center, Taylor said.

No other informatio­n was available. The investigat­ion is ongoing.
