A 38-year-old man accused of fatally shooting two women and a 6-year-old girl turned himself in Sunday afternoon, according to the Haines City Police Department.

Authorities have been searching for Ernst Cherizard since Friday evening for the shooting deaths of Eli Junia Normil, 23, and her aunt, Nicole Guillume, 48.

The two women were found dead from gunshot wounds at an apartment complex and 6-year-old Elizabelle Frenel was flown to Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando for surgery but died Saturday night, police said.

Cherizard fled in a burgundy 2011 Altima but turned himself to Haines City police shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday, according to department spokesman Mike Ferguson.

Authorities said Cherizard and Normil share two children together, although Frenel is not his daughter.

On Saturday, police said Cherizard posted on Facebook about the shooting, saying in a message to his children, “daddy is so sorry with all my heart cuz I can’t believe this happened.”
