Universal CityWalk unveils new rustic-themed restaurant

-

Universal CityWalk is bringing in a new rusticthemed restaurant called Bigfire where customers will watch their dishes cooked over a wood fire at the center of the eatery.

The two-story restaurant is set to open at the Universal Orlando Resort dining and entertainment district this summer, Universal said.

“Bigfire will feature unique theming to make guest feels as though they have stepped into a grand lakeside lodge, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of summers spent by the water,” Universal said in a statement. “At the heart of the venue will be a custom wood fire grill that will allow guests to see their meal being prepared from anywhere in the restaurant.”

Customers will also be able to have dishes paired with a custom firewood for cooking.

Bigfire’s interior will also feature camp lanterns and plaid blankets to finish the woodsy feel and customers will be able to roast marshmallows right at their tables. Restaurants & Retail

It will also have an exterior patio.

Bigfire American Fare will be located between VIVO Italian Kitchen and Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville.

Universal has started hiring for employees at the new restaurant. Potential workers can apply online at UniversalOrlandoJobs.com.

The restaurant is in the former location of the Emeril’s Orlando restaurant, the celebrity-chef driven eatery from Emeril Lagasse which closed last spring. Emeril’s had 108 employees and had been at Universal CityWalk since 1999.
