Poll: What’s the ‘best new theme-park at­trac­tion’ of 2019?

Sev­eral Cen­tral Florida rides and lands are in the run­ning for “best new theme park at­trac­tion” in the 10best on­line poll, in­clud­ing choices from Walt Dis­ney World, Univer­sal Or­lando, SeaWorld Or­lando and Le­goland Florida.

The site (10Best.com) lists 20 nom­i­nees, sug­gested by ex­perts, with the win­ner de­ter­mined by pub­lic vote.

Lo­cal nom­i­nees in­clude Se­same Street Land at SeaWorld Or­lando; Le­goland’s Lego Movie World; Ha­grid’s Mag­i­cal

Crea­tures Mo­tor­bike Ad­ven­tures roller coaster at Univer­sal’s Is­lands of Ad­ven­ture; Dis­ney Sky­liner at Walt Dis­ney World; and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Dis­ney’s Hol­ly­wood Stu­dios theme park.

The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land at Dis­ney­land in Ana­heim, Calif., is listed as a sep­a­rate en­try de­spite be­ing a near-clone of the Florida at­trac­tion.

Among the other nom­i­nees are Ti­gris, a roller coaster at Busch Gar­dens Tampa Bay; Tidal Twis­ter at SeaWorld San Diego; Tur­tle Reef at SeaWorld San An­to­nio; and Juras­sic World — The Ride at Univer­sal Stu­dios Hol­ly­wood.

Folks can vote once a day un­til the poll shuts down at noon on Dec. 30. The top 10 vote-get­ters will be an­nounced on Jan. 10. The con­test is part of USA To­day’s 10 Best Read­ers Choice Awards.
