organization committed to whole-person care in our community, which includes treating body, mind and spirit,” said Daryl Tol, president and CEO of AdventHealth’s Central Florida division. “Part of that commitment is healing broken hearts…Our hope is this memorial will foster the healing process and inspire a spirit of love and compassion.”
The nonprofit onePULSE Foundation — established to honor the 49 people killed, the 68 seriously wounded and the dozens of rescuers — has now raised $18 million toward building the museum and memorial and establishing 49 annual scholarships, each in a field related to the interests, careers or aspirations of one of the victims.
Mourners leave flowers and other mementos at the site of the Pulse nightclub in Orlando on June 12. AdventHealth is donating $1 million to the onePULSE Foundation to help build the National Pulse Memorial & Museum and develop an educational curriculum.
