Fall gets love in All-Star fan vot­ing

NBA fans have fallen in love with the charis­matic 7-foot-5 Bos­ton Celtics cen­ter, help­ing the rookie who spends part of his time in the G League rank No. 6 in early NBA All-Star East­ern Con­fer­ence front court fan vot­ing.

Fall, a for­mer star at UCF, has 110,269 votes de­spite play­ing lim­ited NBA min­utes. He is be­hind: 1. Gian­nis An­te­tok­oun­mpo, 2. Joel Em­biid, 3. Pas­cal Si­akam, 4. Jimmy But­ler and 5. Jayson Ta­tum.

UCF ath­let­ics di­rec­tor Danny White is throw­ing his sup­port be­hind Fall and urg­ing Knights fans to vote for the big man. Fans can vote for all-stars twice a day on NBA.com.

Dur­ing his whirl­wind NBA rookie sea­son, Fall has be­come one of the more pop­u­lar Celtics. His hu­mil­ity, ded­i­ca­tion to im­prov­ing and nim­ble play de­spite his size has de­lighted fans. Off the court, he’s a Boys and Girls Club am­bas­sador who learned to swim along­side Bos­ton area chil­dren and was a guest con­duc­tor for the Bos­ton Pops’ hol­i­day con­cert.
