Last year, I launched the Adopt a Pet series, which highlights Central Florida pets in need of a new home. As an animal lover, it has been my pleasure to connect with and tell the stories of these amazing creatures so deserving of a furever home and a better life.

One of the greatest joys of this series is receiving status updates when each pet finds its new family. Many of the shelters and rescues have expressed their gratitude for the stories, which they say guided adopters to their new furry family members.

“Thank you for helping Betty find her home. We received numerous inquiries from your article,” wrote A Cause 4 Paws in a message.

Some even sent photos that put a smile on my face.
