Judge reduces bond for father-in-law accused in death of Nicole Montalvo
A judge ordered bond be reduced for Angel Rivera after agreeing with Rivera’s lawyer that the original $350,000 was excessive, opening the possibility for him to be released from the Osceola County jail in the killing of 33-year-old daughter-in-law Nicole Montalvo.
Friday morning’s decision by Circuit Judge Keith Carsten allows Rivera to be released from jail on a $160,000 bond on charges of abuse of a dead body and not reporting Montalvo’s death to the medical examiner. Rivera’s also being held on an additional $10,000 bond for possessing ammunition as a convicted felon.
Angel Rivera is accused of killing his daughter-in-law, Nicole Montalvo.
