Country star Yearwood to perform at The Villages
If you loved Trisha Yearwood at the Kennedy Center Honors in December, you can see her in Central Florida this spring.
The Grammy-winning country music star is coming to The Villages.
She will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, March 13, at the Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center, 1051 Main St.
Tickets go on sale Jan. 22 and can be purchased at getoffthebusconcerts.com/ concerts/trisha-yearwood/ or TheSharon.com.
Yearwood’s hits include “She’s in Love With the Boy,” “Thinkin’ About You,” “Believe Me Baby (I Lied),” “Perfect Love” and “How Do I Live.”
At the Kennedy Center Honors, which were broadcast on CBS, Yearwood saluted honoree Linda Ronstadt by singing “You’re No Good.” Then Yearwood joined Aaron Neville on “Don’t Know Much.”
The performances visibly moved Ronstadt and Garth Brooks, Yearwood’s husband.
Yearwood released her 14th studio album, “Every Girl,” in August.
The album’s lead single, “Every Girl in This Town,” came out in June.
“Every Girl” followed “Let’s Be Frank,” Yearwood’s album saluting Frank Sinatra.
Yearwood is also an actress, author, chef, TV personality and entrepreneur. She hosts “Trisha’s Southern Kitchen,” an Emmy-winning hit on Food Network.
She has written three best-selling cookbooks and collaborated with Williams Sonoma on best-selling cocktail mixes.
Her show will support Lake Cares Food Pantry, which provides food and other necessary items to Lake County people in need.
