Ex-WR Brown suspect in battery case

-

Former All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown is in trouble with the law again.

According to Hollywood, Fla., police, an unidentified victim is claiming that Brown and the athlete’s trainer, Glen Holt, assaulted him Tuesday afternoon outside Brown’s home inside a gated community.

Holt was arrested and charged with one count of burglary and battery.

Police said Brown is a suspect but hasn’t been charged or arrested. A large police presence was reported outside Brown’s home Tuesday afternoon.

Brown, 31, has been out of the league since the Patriots released him in September amid a lawsuit citing sexual assault. That was shortly after a head-scratching training camp with the Raiders, who traded for the former Steelers star during the offseason but parted ways before he played in a regular season game.

Ozuna, 29, a two-time All-Star, hit .241 with 29 HRs and 89 RBIs last season for the Cardinals. He hit .429 with two HRs in the Cardinals’ five-game win over the Braves in the NL Division Series.

College football: Ohio State hired Kerry Coombs as its defensive coordinator. Coombs served as the Buckeyes’ CBs coach from 2012-17 before spending the last two seasons in the same position for the NFL’s Titans. He replaced Jeff Hafley, who left to become the head coach at Boston College.

Soccer: Angel Vizcay, the former director of Osasuna, told a judge in a match-fixing trial in Spain that the La Liga club made payments to olayers on other teams to help keep Osasuna in the first division in 2012-13 and 2013-14. Osasuna escaped relegation in 2013, but not in 2014. Vizcay was one of 11 people charged in the country’s second recent high-profile match-fixing trial. In December, more than 40 people were cleared of wrongdoing after being accused of fixing a league match at the end of the 2010-11 season.
