Enzian Theater has partnered with film distributors to offer indie films on demand, with a percentage of each purchase benefiting the theater while it remains closed amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“We greatly appreciate your support and hope you enjoy these wonderful films!” the theater wrote on its website.

Enzian's newest on-demand offering is “Bacurau.”

For $12, the film's distributor (Kino Lorber) will grant access to the film for five days. The movie can be viewed on internet-connected devices or streamed via Chromecast, Amazon Firestick, AirPlay, Apple TV and more. Enzian will receive nearly 50 percent of each “Bacurau” purchase through April 2.

Last week, the theater announced they were working with the distributor of “Saint Frances” (Oscilloscope) to find a way for local patrons to view the film during its theatrical release. For $11.50 ($10 matinee, plus $1.50 processing fee), Oscilloscope will email customers a link to “Saint Frances” that will be available for 48 hours and can be viewed on laptops, tablets and smartphones. It can also be watched via Chromecast, Amazon Firestick, AirPlay and more.
