MAKING WAVES AT ORMOND BEACH
A young surfer braves some big waves as westerly winds create great surfing conditions in Ormond Beach on Thursday. Volusia beaches are partially open after restrictions were eased April 4, allowing visitors to engage in various forms of exercise, including walking, jogging, biking, fishing, surfing and swimming. Gathering in groups of more than six people will not be permitted, but sunbathing will be allowed starting Saturday. The Volusia County Council is studying when to fully open the beaches that were closed in response to the coronavirus crisis.
