If you’re out of work in Central Florida and looking for a job, the Orlando Sentinel will be keeping a running list of employers who are hiring for positions that require little to no experience.

Costco: Costco opened its seasonal hiring earlier this year due to the increased traffic to its stores once the coronaviru­s outbreak started to spread around the country. It had dozens of openings in the Orlando area.

Gordon Food Service: Food distributi­on company GFS has been adding positions due to coronaviru­s and still has some available for associates in the Central Florida region.

Home Depot: The chain is adding thousands of seasonal jobs around the nation, including more than 50 in the Orlando area that are still open.

Lighthouse Works: The local call center, which helps provide jobs for visually impaired workers, was tapped by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunit­y to help with unemployme­nt applicatio­ns. The call center is looking to fill about 50 full-time positions at about $10 to $11 an hour.

Sprouts Farmers Market: The grocery store is adding 2,000 positions across the nation, including in Central Florida.

Bad As’s Sandwich: The Orlando sandwich shop is looking for cashiers, runners and cooks in part-time positions that it hopes to covert to full-time later when it opens its Winter Park location.

G4S: The security company is looking to fill 110 positions in the Orlando area as part of a nationwide effort to add 5,000 positions. G4S is offering part- and full-time security officer and site supervisor positions in several industries. Not all job openings require previous security experience — on the job training is available.

Amazon: The company is looking to add 4,700 people in Florida on a rolling

basis out of 100,000 added positions nationwide. Amazon encourages U.S. residents to text AMAZON to 77088 to receive automated messages about job openings near them. Check back, the job listings change often.

Publix: The grocery store giant is looking to fill “thousands” of positions across the nation, including in Orlando, at its stores and distributi­on centers by the end of the month.

Winn-Dixie and Fresco y Más: Both grocery chains are adding positions due to the coronaviru­s outbreak. The number of jobs vary by store.

Walmart: Walmart is hiring 9,400 people to work in stores and distributi­on centers across Florida and has warehouses in Davenport and Winter Haven.

Cellular Sales/Verizon Wireless: Verizon’s largest retailer is looking to add positions to its 46 retail locations throughout East Florida. The business is considered “essential” retail and plans to stay open.

Walgreens: The pharmacy chain is looking to fill 9,500 additional positions around the country.

Wawa: The convenienc­e store is hiring in Central Florida for positions including full-time night supervisor­s, part-time customer service associates and managerial jobs, including customer service supervisor­s, food and beverage managers, assistant general managers and general managers.

Pepsi: The company is looking to “aggressive­ly and quickly” hire temporary staff in the Orlando community, particular­ly for merchandis­e and warehouse positions, as well as delivery drivers.

Pizza Hut: The restaurant has 30,000 jobs open across the country and is looking to get delivery drivers on the road more quickly.

Domino’s: Pizza delivery is ramping up with families staying at home. Domino’s, too, is adding jobs across several positions, including delivery, pizza makers, customer service representa­tives, managers and assistant managers.
