UCF’s Davis signs $3.9M con­tract

For­mer UCF re­ceiver Gabriel Davis signed a four-year deal worth $3.99 mil­lion with the Buf­falo Bills Friday. Davis was se­lected in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft with the No. 128 pick by the Bills.

The San­ford na­tive will make an av­er­age an­nual salary of $998,595 ac­cord­ing to spo­trac.com. Davis also will re­ceive a $699,380 sign­ing bonus.

Davis de­clared early for the draft af­ter set­ting UCF sin­gle-sea­son re­ceiv­ing mark with 1,241 yards. He skipped the team’s bowl game against Mar­shall in De­cem­ber to pre­pare for the NFL Scout­ing Com­bine.

His 23 ca­reer touch­downs rank sec­ond in school his­tory and his eight games of 100-plus re­ceiv­ing yards tie him for ninth in school his­tory.

The Bills, who fin­ished sec­ond in the AFC East with a 10-6 mark, ranked No. 26 in the NFL in pass­ing of­fense while av­er­ag­ing 201.8 yards per game.

His base salary will be $610,000 in 2020 and it in­creases in­cre­men­tally to $780,00 in 2021, $895,000 in 2022 and $1.01 mil­lion in 2023. Davis would be an un­re­stricted free agent in 2024.
