Spectrum News nets 31 Florida broadcast journalism awards
The Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists recognized Spectrum News 13 in Orlando and Spectrum News Bay News 9 in Tampa Bay with a total of 31 best in broadcast journalism awards, according to a news release.
The honors include 14 first-place awards for News 13 and three for Bay News 9. In addition, Spectrum News 13 was named Overall Station of the Year.
The competition represents the Sunshine State’s top television and radio broadcasters and received more than 550 entries, which featured news and sports stories from 2019, according to the release.
