UCF to host Liberty in 2024
UCF has added another nonconference opponent to its future lineup, scheduling a home contest against Liberty in 2024.
The matchup is set for Sept. 7, 2024, at Spectrum Stadium, according to a Liberty announcement. It was later confirmed by a UCF spokesperson.
It’s the 12th meeting between the two programs, with the Flames making the jump from the Football Championship Series to the Football Bowl Subdivision as an independent in 2018. UCF holds an 8-3 advantage in the series, with the teams last meeting in 2002.
This is the second nonconference opponent UCF has lined up for 2024, with the Knights hitting the road for the season opener against BYU on Aug. 31.
UCF has been working to fill out its future schedules, adding games against Louisville (2021-22), Georgia Tech (2020, 2022), North Carolina (2020, 2025, 2027), Boise State (2021, 2023) and BYU (2023-24).
