- By Roy Parry rparry@orlandosentinel.com

The Orlando Magic can’t physically host their youth basketball camps, so they’re taking them to the campers.

The team has scheduled its Orlando Magic Youth Basketball Academy virtual camps throughout June. The camps are for ages 6-17 and for players of all skill levels.

The first virtual camp will begin Monday and registration is under way. Go to orlandomagicyouth.com to sign up or for more information.

The Magic and camp sponsor UnitedHealthcare will also give 50 kids full scholarships to attend a camp session.

The National Basketball Academy is offering 20 additional scholarships this year for the virtual camps.

Each camp will last a week and be activated through Zoom and the mobile app Ballogy.

A Zoom session will be used for live video work with TNBA coaches to allow each camper to participate in warm-ups, camp instruction and group drills. The camps also will utilize Ballogy, which is designed to improve individual skills and participate in private group training sessions.

Participants will receive a kit that includes a ticket to a Magic home game for the 2020-21 season, a basketball, a T-shirt, a reusable bag, a STUFF magnet, a wristband and stickers after completion of the camp. The kits will either be delivered via contactless pickup, shipped directly to the camper or dropped off at the camper’s residence, according to the team.

For the camp, participants will need:

■ Smartphone, tablet or computer

■ Zoom

■ Ballogy (mobile app)

■ Basic equipment— basketball, shoes and a water bottle

A basketball hoop is not required, but participants with access will have an individual workout option
