DeSantis’ virus reaction evokes the Titanic

Gov. Ron DeSantis’ response to the coronavirus crisis brings to mind the band that famously played on the deck of the Titanic as water gushed in through a large gash in the hull.

The band played inspiring music as the Titanic and many of its passengers inexorably progressed to their fate. The band went down with the ship, a fate that likely awaits the governor’s 2022 reelection bid given his handling of the crisis so far.
