Enzian is celebrating a galactic milestone: “Star Wars: Episode V — The Empire Strikes Back” turned 40 this year, and the theater is marking the occasion with several screenings of the film.

“I was 5 years old when ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ opened in movie theaters in the summer of 1980. I was a Star Wars fan club member and had the full-sized theatrical poster on my bedroom wall,” said Tim Anderson, Enzian’s programming coordinator, in a press release. “Star Wars may not be my ‘life’ anymore, but ‘Empire’ holds a pretty special place in my heart as the very essence of movie magic.”
