2020 Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards winners

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the winners of the 2020 Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards, and there are a few victors in Central Florida.

The Suncoast Chapter Emmy Awards honor excellence in the Suncoast region’s television markets, which includes Florida; Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, and New Orleans in Louisiana; Mobile, Alabama; Thomasvill­e, Georgia; and Puerto Rico.

Among the local TV station winners: WFTV-Channel 9 took home four awards, Spectrum News 13 received three and WKMG-Channel 6 earned two. Winter Park-based DNA Films also proved victorious, winning seven Suncoast Emmys.
