Ticked off! @energy company

-

When are authors of popular crime novels going to realize that tire irons are no longer in common use? Tire irons have not been in common use for automobile tires since the shift to the use of tubeless tires in the late 1950s. Many contemporary authors still use a tire iron as a bludgeon in their crime novels. Catch up, people, it’s very annoying and jarring to read this anachronism in your novels.

I am ticked off all the nonsense relating to “cancel culture.” What the heck is that? Mr. Potato Head and Dr. Seuss’ books? Now we hear about “woke corporations.” Say what you mean and mean what you say. This is ridiculous.

I’m pretty ticked off at my energy company. I used their website to report tree limbs that were threatening some of their power lines. I never got a response and the tree limbs were never removed. Sure enough, the wind blows and I lose power.

The current Geico commercial depicting the man in a basketball uniform swatting away various things is ridiculous and not worthy of our time and not good for the kids to see.

I’m ticked off at Sports Sunday for its Page 1 Masters coverage. The entire nine-paragraph column was about Georgia politics and absolutely nothing about the golf match. Where’s the sport in that?

It is absolutely ridiculous that a TV station in the market allows their main evening anchor to dress so provocatively. What happened to professionalism? She looks like she’s going clubbing after work. Disgusting!

The flip side

Thank you to the couple who paid for our breakfast from the three ladies at “The Diner.” You made our day! We all vowed to pay it forward!
