Sympathy not stopping mass murder

-

Another mass shooting, this time at a FedEx location in Indianapolis. On an almost daily frequency we are assaulted with news of another of these horrific incidents and needless loss of innocent life. When, you ladies and gentlemen who represent all Floridians, are you going to take positive steps and do something to abate the random violence? When are we going to feel safe going about our daily routine tasks without wondering if some crazed individual, armed with an all too easily acquired weapon, will attack and injure or murder us? When are we going to feel safe about sending our children to school, attending a movie, a nightclub, a sporting event, a concert, a religious service, the grocery store or any place where more than four people congregate? When are you going to admit that more guns in our society simply means more deaths from guns?

Stop giving us your sympathy, your prayers, your condolences — it’s not working. Start by doing your jobs and enacting common sense gun control legislation.
