UCF men’s basketball program added another piece to its 2021-22 recruiting class with the signing of Ed’Xavior Rhodes.

Rhodes, a 6-foot-9 forward out of Dallas, is the third player to sign with the Knights, along with P.J. Edwards and Darius Johnson.

“Our staff is excited to bring Ed’Xavior in as a part of our UCF family,” coach Johnny Dawkins said. “He’s a skilled big man who can do a lot of things on the basketball court. He runs the floor well, can defend the basket and can step outside and knock down a shot. We can’t wait to get him here in Orlando.”

Rhodes averaged 20 points, nine rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game as a senior at Skyline High School, where he received a handful of offers from schools such as Arkansas, Austin Peay, TCU and Texas A&M.

Edwards, a 6-foot-4 guard out of the state of North Carolina, signed with UCF last week. He averaged 16 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals per game at Liberty Heights.

The pair join Johnson, a 4-star point guard out of Alexandria, Virginia, who signed in November.

UCF is coming off an 11-12 season during which the Knights finish sixth in the American Athletic Conference.
