Busch Gardens’ fireworks show now offered nightly

- Dewayne Bevil Theme Park Ranger

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay theme park has upped the frequency of its fireworks. Its new end-of-night show “Spark” can now be viewed every night through Aug. 8.

At that point, it will go to a Friday-Saturday-Sunday schedule, wrapping up with a Labor Day presentation on Sept. 6.

The spectacular has been part of the park’s Summer Nights promotion, which also includes “Cirque Electric,” a new acrobatic stunt show; “Turn It Up,” an ice-skating show; and a pre-”Spark” party on Festival Pathway.

“Spark,” Busch Gardens’ largest fireworks display in its history, also incorporates lasers and water elements.

It’s included in regular park admission.

SeaWorld Orlando, a sister park to Busch Gardens, will adopt a nightly fireworks schedule for “Ignite” starting June 18 and running through Aug. 8. The show can be seen this Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as part of the park’s Electric Ocean event.

Universal Studios has been showing its “Cinematic Celebration” over the lagoon using pyrotechnics, projections and water features. It is currently preceded by “A Celebration of the Olympics,” a lead-up to the Tokyo Games. It’s currently on select nights, Universal says.

Walt Disney World does not currently offer nighttime fireworks. Before the pandemic shutdown last year, “Happily Ever After” was seen nightly at Magic Kingdom.

At Epcot, preparations are underway for a nighttime show called “Harmonius,” featuring Disney music. No debut date has been announced.
