Ticked off! @thrift store The flip side

-

I’m ticked off when one of my favorite TV shows airs the next season on a streaming device that I have to pay extra for. What’s up with that?

I’m ticked off ata woman who comes to the customer service at Publix with 50 to 100 online tickets she will not check herself. She makes them do it. Takes 15 to 20 minutes. All of the other customers are inconvenienced. How lazy and rude.

To the person ticked off at Earth Day being disrupted because they chose to buy a home close to fairgrounds knowing they hold loud events there, take your tree-hugging self to Montana where it’s quiet and has a lot to do outside! The city should not install anything for your bad decision on house location. That’s on you.

At a time when people really need help and shopping thrift stores to buy toys and clothing, it seems like a lot of price gouging at the new store in Winter Garden. People donate thinking they are helping the less fortunate, not building multi-million dollar new stores.

Our big grocery store here in Florida reports billions in sales and millions in earnings. Why not pass some of those profits on to your customers instead of increasing prices on your groceries almost up to 50%?

To the ticked off “a line of cars is waiting” person, please be short and succinct! You may be an expert at waiting for the left turn light, but could you get to the point in this column? You used half of the Ticked off! column!

A most kind shout out to the three lovely men who helped me in the drivethru at Truist on Semoran Boulevard on Monday. My car wouldn’t start and they immediately came to my rescue! Very kind and considerate men; I appreciate them and their compassion for this stranded traveler. God bless you and anyone who helps their fellow mankind. Life can be good!
