Winter Park’s Chicken Guy restaurant adds breakfast

Chicken Guy is adding a pancake and chicken tender sandwich and other breakfast offerings to its Winter Park restaurant’s menu starting today.

A partnership between Orlando restaurateur Robert Earl and Food Network star Guy Fieri, Chicken Guy has been serving up chicken tenders with 22 sauces.

The chain opened in 2018 on the ground floor of Earl’s Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs and launched its Winter Park restaurant at 818 S. Orlando Ave. this past December.

Breakfast will now be served at the Winter Park restaurant 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. daily. The morning menu is starting in Winter Park before other locations across the country, and a date for when Disney Springs could add breakfast has not yet been revealed.

“The Winter Park location is off to a great start,” Earl said in an email.

In addition to chicken sandwiched between two pancakes and topped with maple butter, the menu is set to include tenders stuffed inside waffles, sandwiches such as a chicken, egg and cheese, and a breakfast wrap or bowl with tenders, eggs, breakfast tots, tomato, cheddar and bacon.

“Guy has come up with a creative, unique breakfast menu — for instance, our waffle has his chicken mixed right into the batter for a new spin on Chicken and Waffles,” Earl said.

Earl, who is behind other popular brands such as Buca di Beppo and Earl of Sandwich, also partnered on Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Kitchen, a delivery-only restaurant available through apps such as Uber Eats out of Earl’s other restaurants across Orlando and the country.

He said last June he would love Chicken Guy to “be the Shake Shack of chicken.”
