Ticked off! @do not call list

-

I still can’t believe someone was moved to write the newspaper because restaurant management and employees —- how dare they! —- actually had the chutzpah to use a reader’s favorite booth to catch up on the shift’s paperwork. And yet we wonder why it’s so hard to fill jobs dealing with the public.

I wish there were more kind and patient people in this world, especially in checkout lines. Everyone has somewhere to go, and we all must wait at some point in time. Don’t be mad at me because I was in front of you!

Please tell me why people will not sweep their sidewalks in front of their houses! I am tripping over branches and seed pods that stain the sidewalks and my shoes all the time!

I think it is rude to go into an open house and bring your dog. Whether it is on a lease or not, leave it at home! This is someone’s personal space. Be respectful! Would you like someone to do that to you? And clean up after him when he poops in their yard!

I don’t understand why people cannot stay off their phones in stores and public bathrooms! No one wants to hear your conversation!

People, stop writing in to complain about a TV anchor’s appearance. With all of the complaints over the years, it is painfully obvious that she and the station do not care what we think. If it bothers you, change the channel! They only care about ratings and that is the only thing that will get their attention.

Does the person complaining about all the calls they get while on the Do Not Call list understand that the number listed on their phone is probably not the number calling. Probably a “spoof number” calling and the government does not know the real number calling. So DNC lists are useless.

The flip side

Very pleased with the response of the Seminole County road department regarding sidewalk slabs that were in disrepair in front of my house and several neighbors’ houses. After I called, the slabs were replaced promptly and professionally within a few weeks. Couldn’t have asked for better service.
