Ticked off! @electric vehicles

-

I am ticked off that the Catholic Church has done away with HDTV Mass. The poorest people could access the Mass on HDTV. No longer true. In order to attend TV Mass, you have to have cable, internet, or a cell phone. There are thousands of the poor who don’t have those luxuries.

To the person ticked off at the Walmart app. The website and app are updated with inventory once a week. I suggest placing an online order for either curbside or in-store pickup. If the item is not in stock, you will receive a notice before heading to the store.

I’m ticked off about electric vehicles. Please tell me how your EV is going to help you evacuate during a hurricane? Our government is not thinking this through properly.

I’m not so much ticked off as disappointed with the lack of police presence on I-4. I almost never see police unless I’m passing an accident scene. There are so many speeders and reckless drivers on I-4 who know they can behave this way because there is little risk of being pulled over and issued a citation. The remedy for this would be for the police to periodically set up speed traps. This would result in several positive outcomes: 1) drivers would know they are taking a risk by speeding and driving recklessly; 2) there would be fewer accidents; 3) fewer accidents might eventually lead to lower insurance rates; 4) state and county coffers would benefit and maybe the local governments wouldn’t need to bring up the issue of raising sales tax rates. Frankly, I don’t see a downside to this proposal.

The flip side

Thank you to my friend who reminded me that during hurricane season I don’t need to buy expensive bottled water. I can fill up jugs and containers with water from the tap. I just need to sterilize with one teaspoon of unscented household chlorine bleach.
