Ticked off! @new roundabout

-

Is anyone else annoyed at the stupid people on the five minute oil change ad? The one who pours coffee all over himself and the guy who drives through his garage door? Don’t you wish rather than take five minutes, the ad would “take” a hike?

I am ticked off at the new trend to have a black roof. This is Florida where the sun shines all the time. Black absorbs the sun’s rays thus making your home hotter and forcing your A/C to work harder and causing you to have higher electric bills. Not smart. More importantly, not good for the planet. This trend should end now!

I am ticked off that all of the parking, even garages, in the downtown UCF campus area are by app only. You must have this app downloaded to your phone before you come into the area to park. Technology is great — until it isn’t.

I am ticked off by the deceptive weight loss commercials on television daily! Scientific studies show that the only healthy and long term way to lose the way and keep it off is permanent lifestyle changes! Good old-fashioned exercise and a healthy diet is the only way to lose the weight and keep it off! Any other way can cause medical problems such as heart trouble, or you gain back twice the weight later! Our government should not allow these companies to take advantage of desperate and uneducated people!

I’m ticked off at the new roundabout that was built on Old Highway 50 and 455. First of all people don’t know how to use it correctly. But the thing that ticks me off the most is the dangerous drop off on the side by the Turnpike. Come on!

Does someone have to go over the side and fly down the embankment onto the Turnpike before they install guardrails. A four-inch curb isn’t going to stop a car. It’s so dangerous.

The flip side

Thanks to all those polite drivers who yield when you signal a lane change. You are a gracious and gentle person. There are so many rude drivers now who speed up when you signal. They are like little piggies at a feeding trough.
