Breakfast with Peppa set to debut
Peppa Pig Theme Park is adding its first character dining experience, a breakfast that provides exclusive time with Peppa and her family plus early access to parts of the Winter Haven attraction.
Breakfast With Peppa debuts June 9 and will be available on Fridays and Saturdays for a limited time at the theme park, which is geared to preschoolers. The meal will be buffetstyle and in Miss Rabbit’s Diner, which opened with the park in early 2022.
“It’s really preschooler-friendly food,” said Kelly Hornick, head of marketing and communications. “I think every kid goes through the banana phase. So there definitely will be whole bananas. That’s a must. … But then there’s everything that you can imagine that kids love for breakfast items, like really fluffy, yummy waffles.”
Expect lots of waffle topping options for tots.
“You can see how excited a 3-year-old might be when they get to kind of craft their own monster waffle moment,” Hornick said.
Other menu items will include scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, pastries and a signature breakfast sandwich, which features eggs, cheddar jack cheese, marinated tomatoes and mixed greens in a lemon-based vinaigrette on a crispy baguette. The sandwich has a “fancy grown-up flavor to it that’s really delicious,” Hornick said.
“We will, of course, celebrate with dessert at breakfast because we’re Peppa Pig Theme Park and we can do that,” she said. “But I think the thing that the kids are going to get most excited about is when they see the hot-pink whipped cream.”
Breakfast serves an appetizer for the meetand-greet time with the Peppa Pig character, who became known through an animated British television series.
Families will “get the opportunity to snap a photo with Peppa, George, Mummy and Daddy Pig altogether,” Hornick said. “And while we do that for some special occasions, it’s pretty rare to be able to have that.”
Breakfast With Peppa will happen before the theme park opens for the day, and it will include early access to Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster and Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure ride. Pricing is $44.99 per person ($34.99 for ages 2-9). Same-day park admission or annual pass is required and sold separately. Peppa Pig park is adjacent to Legoland Florida theme park in Polk County.
