Ticked off! @unwanted solicitors

-

How many more small planes have to crash before the NTSB increases inspection responsibilities and pre-flight preparations to, hopefully, curtail the weekly tragic incidents?

Hey, Mr. Know-it-All! You have no idea what phone system I or anyone else has nor our habits. The main thrust is that telemarketing should be illegal in our country because we had phone service installed in our homes for our use, not low-lifes to burden us in trying to further their business ventures. It leads to scams and disrupts our day, including nap time! Perhaps you are such a loser that you welcome phone calls from strangers? I feel sorry for you but don’t criticize my objections.

I’m ticked off at unwanted solicitors. We have a list of tree trimming companies we’ll never use because they rang our doorbell and left business cards. We could have just gotten an infant to sleep. We could have just worked a tough night shift. We could have an elderly parent on hospice care trying to rest. We could just not want you at our door. Don’t ring my doorbell unless it’s an emergency or you know me.

Another 9.5% rate increase in my FP&L bill. I’m ticked off! How are seniors supposed to survive with huge increases like this?

I’m protesting on behalf of many of my elderly friends. I am sick at heart that their grown children and grandchildren make no effort to visit them or do nice things for them after all they’ve been given in the past. I have no family and am disabled but I still try to help others as much as I can. Whatever happened to family ties and love? It seems as if selfishness is the new norm. What a dire shame!

The flip side

So glad that the Subway restaurant at the corner of Conway and Curry Ford roads had a beautiful renovation. It is so colorful and the staff is so friendly and efficient.

Need to vent?
