Snook reveals heir in ‘Succession’ post

-

Sarah Snook has welcomed her first child with husband Dave Lawson, revealing the heir’s arrival Sunday in an Instagram post.

During the show’s series finale, the “Succession” star said hello to her little one and goodbye to the hit HBO series with a glimpse of mother and child watching the show together.

“I just watched the final episode of the final season of something that has changed my life. And now, my life has changed again. Thank you for all the love and support,” she wrote.

Snook, 35, who played Siobhan “Shiv” Roy in the Emmy-winning series, debuted her baby bump in March at the Season 4 premiere in New York.

In March, Snook shared that she occasionally had to conceal her pregnancy while filming the final season of “Succession,” but admitted to Access Hollywood that “it was pretty easy to hide.” Snook also joked that she will not be taking any parenting advice from the show’s fictional brood.

In her Instagram farewell, the Australian actor called the show “a crazy adventure” and a “career highlight, which will no doubt be hard to top.”

Speaking of ‘Succession’ finale:

HBO said 2.9 million people watched or streamed the series finale of “Succession” on Sunday, a series record that is expected to grow as delayed viewing is taken into account. That beat the first-night record of 2.75 million for an episode that aired April 30, earlier in the fourth and last season of the family drama about a media company.

The audience can be expected to expand significantly when delayed viewing is taken into account. For example, “Succession” episodes this season have been seen by an average of 8.7 million viewers, according to the Nielsen company.

“Succession” didn’t approach HBO’s record of 19.8 million people who watched the 2019 finale of “Game of Thrones” on its premiere night.
