Oviedo, it’s time to stock up on lox.

Jeff’s Bagel Run announced this morning that the UCF-adjacent community will be the next location in the Orlando-based brand’s growing footprint.

This follows the news of additional shops in Celebration, Orlando and Winter Park. Ocoee and College Park were the first two for owners Jeff and Danielle Perera, who founded the company selling bagels out of their Winter Garden home.

“I can’t believe we are going to have six stores open by the end of the year,” Jeff Perera told the Orlando Sentinel. “It’s some kind of crazy fever dream!”

The Pereras’ young children greeted their earliest customers as they stopped by the house for bagel pickups, and dad often thinks back to those days as he watches the brand expand.

“Looking back on our first conversations,” Perera reflected, “I remember saying that maybe one day we’d be on the shelves at Publix next to Lender’s Bagels. I don’t think we’ll ever go the route of pre-packaged goods, but Lender was a real person. This was a small bakery that at some point grew into something really big and we feel really fortunate that we are getting these opportunities.”

The forthcoming Oviedo store will be located at 1351 Alafaya Trail, in a standalone building of the busy Alafaya Square shopping center, anchored by a Publix that’s currently being renovated.

It will share space with businesses including Zaza Cuban Comfort Food, IHOP and Froggers Grill & Bar. Its 1200 square feet of space will feature a design that allows customers to watch the bagel-making process.

“We’re really happy to be able to get out to Oviedo,” said Perera. “East Orlando has really been an underserved community for bagels, and we’re excited to help out with that.”

Perera says the location should be up and running by November.
