Ticked off! @roundabout drivers

-

I’m ticked off at those opposing roundabouts. They help traffic control and save on gas (think less CO2s) and battery usage. The only negative is those drivers from one or two states up north where local drivers don’t know how to drive in them. I lived in one for a while and barely missed getting hit by a local driver more than once when I was driving correctly.

Iamso ticked off! I saw a commercial during the Pro Bowl, created by Visit Orlando. It was an ad for SeaWorld, Disney and Universal. Orange County advertises for companies that every person on the planet know exists in Orlando! Unbelievable! Then I read the Mayor wants to tax another penny for roads, How bout you take Visit Orlando’s money and fix roads!?

I am ticked off that people are so worried about what their neighbors do or don’t do that doesn’t affect them one iota! Sure, ideally everyone should have their Christmas decorations down by now. You appreciate them more when you take them out the next year. But who am I to judge what’s going on in your life and when you do and don’t take them down. Nor does it affect my life if you keep them up year round. That’s your choice on your private property which code enforcement has no authority or business telling you what you can have stuck in your yard. If you want rules like that move to a gated community with such rules.

For those who are complaining about people who don’t remove their Christmas decorations promptly enough: Get a life!

If your neighbor’s holiday decor is still up and you’re bothered by that, you need to ask yourself “Why does this bother me?” and then move on. Stop being a Karen and ask yourself “What is something positive I can do for my community?”

The flip side

A thousand thanks

to the person who found my purse in a cart at the Publix in Wekiva Plaza and returned it to the store intact. What a relief!
