Ticked off! @local TV news

-

I don’t understand why a local television station needs to air local news for three hours in the afternoon. Four if you count the noon broadcast. It’s the same stories over and over.

I am ticked off at the paper’s mediocre review of Angel Studios movie called Ordinary Angels. I was disappointed when I read the review because I had already purchased tickets to see it later that day. Expecting not to like it, I was stunned when it turned out to be one of the most moving, powerful films of the human spirit I had ever seen! Don’t let this review keep you from this fabulous movie!

I live in a rental complex in Pine Hills, and I am ticked off that not enough is being done in Orange County to fix the housing crisis! More and more of my neighbors are turning their garage into a living room and using their living room and other free space as a bedroom! There are eight or more people with children forced to live in a two bedroom duplex due to the astronomical and rising rental prices! What happened to the American Dream?

I am ticked off that people do not know how to use a Little Free Library. If there is not room for the book you want to leave, then don’t leave it. To put your book on top of other books or to place it in front of the row of books and block the titles is rude. To leave a book that is too big (too tall) for the shelf is rude — do not leave that book. Look for another Little Free Library that has a taller shelf. Do not leave your book that the cover has been torn off of. Do not overstuff a Little Free Library. To pull up to a Little Free Library and open your trunk and stuff all your unwanted books into it is rude. To sum up, if the book does not fit then do not leave it.

The flip side

Thank you to Richard, who worked at the Pine Hills Post Office for many years. He always had a kind and cheerful word for every customer who walked in the door. Sadly, he has retired, leaving with no fanfare. He truly was a goodwill ambassador.
