Ticked off! @sports programming

-

Why do sports have to take precedence over news programs? Why can’t enough time be allotted to the sports programs ahead of time so that we don’t have to watch them before the news? Are sports, more important than knowing what’s going on in the world?

I am ticked off that everyone keeps referring to those building blocks as cinderblocks. They are not cinderblocks anymore. They are concrete blocks! My contractor cousin-in-law keeps reminding me of that whenever he hears the term cinderblock.

NIL for high school athletes. Are you kidding me? Do you think lineman Johnny is going to block for QB Jimmy if he’s getting NIL payments, and Johnny isn’t? Next we’ll see tee-ballers with their hands out!

I recently scheduled a Salvation Army pick up of couches and TVs, etc., from our house. Their online “track the truck” feature was really nice but when the driver (with a bad attitude) and his assistant arrived they looked over our couches that were in very usable condition. He took numerous photos and inspected every inch of the seams etc. Then he said that he could not accept one of the pieces as it was dusty on the underside of the couch. Really?!

I am more than ticked off about all these food recalls. I have been sick with symptoms for a week and was concerned about my cancer recurring. All these products that are contaminated are frightening! The list keeps growing every week. What is going to be done about this? And packaging has the expiration and sell by dates printed so small no one can read them anyway!

The flip side

Hats off to the crews burying orange tubing in Apopka. They’re doing a great job of restoring the lawns they’ve had to dig up to accomplish their task.
