Ticked off! @solid waste pickup

-

I continue to be ticked off that most people don’t realize that college and university financial aid counselors were major contributors to the burgeoning student loan debt. They recommended students to take the “maximum” amount available, rather than the amount they could survive on. They were “encouraged” by the financial institutions to process such loans because they would be repaid one way or another!

To ticked off about the lack of transportation to their church. If they have been an active member of a church my suggestion is contact the church office and advise them of your need. Too many people assume the church knows of their problem. Perhaps a member of the congregation would be willing to pick you up each Sunday on their way to worship. There is a solution, you just need to make your need known. God bless you.

I am ticked off that Orange County Solid Waste failed to pick up the household trash and recycling in my neighborhood in Pine Hills. We all are just stuck with a week’s worth of trash and recycling until they decide to resume service. I bet they do not skip trash and recycling pick up in Windermere, Horizon West or other higher income areas!

I just received an advertisement in the mail for a “Senior Living Community” that had the headline “You can have it all.” Entrance “fees” range from a little less than $200,000 to close to $1 million. Monthly fees range from $3,000 to $7,000. Monthly! I’ll rewrite the headline: “You can have it all. Except your money. We’ll take all of that!”

The flip side

Thank you to the orthopedic group that has a walk-in clinic in Lake Mary. I was a senior with a very sore shoulder. I walked in, was treated! Thank you!
