Art museum exhibits virtual pop-up

In compliance with the California Public Health Department and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, The Museumof Northern California Art will be closed indefinitely to protect visitors and volunteers from COVID-19. The museum’s board of directorswill reassess the situation and take the lead of health authorities as to when to reopen.

After the Camp Fire, monca found art to be a healing agent, particularly during its children Summer’s Literacy Program. “Art in its many forms provided comfort, resilience, wisdom, and the means for self- expression and connection,” the board stated in a press release.

Before it was ever in its current location, monca was known for doing popup shows. It has now returned to that medium virtually.
