Do not gamble with California’s future

-

Governor Newsom has in my opinion worked diligently in very difficult times to lead our state. Huge surpluses in the budget were applied fairly to help our state’s residents, and his COVID measures reversed the pandemic in our state most effectively. If anything, he deserves re-election next year in the already scheduled regular election. He definitely does not deserve to be recalled, especially considering the alternatives.

Anyone voting to recall is gambling with the future of our state knowing that one of the 41 people on the replacement list could win with a few % of the vote, should the recall pass.

Larry Elder has said he would privatize Medicare and Medicaid, has discouraged vaccination for COVID and is opposed to masking and other health measures. Incredibly misguided, he is a big supporter of Trump’s delusions.

Caitlin Jenner … a reality TV star who has spent a good chunk of the campaign season for this race, filming in Australia. Nuff said.

None of the “Democrats” on the list have the support of the Party … for good reason. At least one Republican seems to think a circus animal would be a good governor. Really?

California deserves more than a roll of the dice on the dicey alternatives. You do not like Gavin’s hairstyle or personality? Vote him out next year. Do not gamble getting us an incompetent governor out of spite. Just vote NO on the recall.
