Government to blame for lack of trust

-

It is becoming more obvious that the only way we are going to get rid of COVID is through vaccination. But why are so many afraid of vaccinations and why do so many listen to conspiracy over science? I blame our own government.

In my life I have seen our government lie to the American people probably more times than it has been honest. There is so much secrecy, withholding of information, gas lighting, twisting, and spinning going on that we are left to try to figure out the truth from what little facts we can gleam from what news sources tell us. Most news sources are bound to, beholding to, and limited by the interests of the larger corporations that own them. So then we are forced to “follow the money” because that’s the only logic we have to go on. Often we don’t know what to believe so we end up trusting in sources that are not credible. But every now and then, just sometimes, our government is right. If we had a government that dealt more with honesty than lies perhaps more people would trust the government when there really is an emergency and we wouldn’t have to constantly “follow the money.” Too often our government cries wolf, especially when it comes to war. But sometimes there really is a wolf.
