A few things you might want to know
For those who responded to Donald Trump’s “Stop the Steal” fund-raising pleas, I regret to inform you that of the $75 million you donated, not a single dollar has been spent on recounts or ballot reviews, and instead all of the money has gone into a Trump “slush” fund to be spent however he pleases. (Grifters gotta grift.)
For those who complain that the January 6th congressional investigation is partisan, please realize it was Republicans who rejected a bipartisan committee. Nancy Pelosi was right to reject Jim Jordan and Jim Banks from the commission, since they were complicit in the insurrection, and including them would be like appointing Osama bin Laden to the 9/11 investigation committee.
For those who laud Florida governor Ron DeSantis’ antiscience stance (“Don’t Fauci my Florida”), you should know that Florida now leads the nation in recent COVID cases and deaths.
For those who take their anti-vaccination cues from Fox News, keep in mind that Rupert Murdoch, Sean Hannity, and Tucker Carlson are fully vaccinated.
And for those who say we don’t know the long-term effects of the vaccines, please realize we don’t know the longterm effects of COVID, either, but we know they include heart inflammation, kidney damage, and lung problems. How serious the effects will be is something at least 39 million Americans are going to find out the hard way, for the rest of their lives.
