Let’s stop looking up at Marin

-

For the week ending August 30 Butte County averaged 146 new COVID cases per day. Marin County averaged 47. Marin’s population is about 1/3 greater than ours. If you do the arithmetic you’ll see that the average Butte County resident has about four times as great a likelihood of contracting COVID as their counterpart in Marin. My goodness, what could be going on?

Oh, now I remember: Marin ranks first in the state out of 58 Counties in the percent of their population who are fully vaccinated. We rank 40th.

If, so far, you have been too lazy, ignorant or irresponsible to get vaccinated take heart. Those condition are easily cured. Just get vaccinated.

Let’s beat Marin!
