Don’t let corporations steal our water

I am a resident of Chico, Butte County and am writing in opposition of the proposed Tuscan Water District. This is an out and out water grab/steal by a few corporate figures who stand to gain financially at the expense of the small farmer and citizen of Butte county.

Everyone has seen the result in other areas when water is pulled from the existing aquifer causing lack of water and subsidence. It takes decades to replenish an aquifer that is taxed and diminished by short sighted drawing on the resource. We need conscious use of water for all concerned as we face the future with climate change and drought and development.

Please help block this move in every way!
