Play things smart — let’s just mask up

Counties across California and the north state have implemented mask mandates to control the spread of COVID with the arrival of the highly contagious Delta variant in folks, whether vaccinated or not. Here in Butte County mask use is optional and we are seeing the resultant spread of virus, filing of hospital beds (74 at Enloe as of this writing), and the infrequent mask use in retail, restaurant, and other public indoor settings.

What is wrong with this picture?? Are we ill-informed, impervious to the virus, or perhaps IGNORANT? No one is asking to shut down businesses. Even if vaccinated, would you go swimming in a veritable viral swamp. Just mask up.
