Oroville Mercury-Register

Born Franklin Edward Standard on July 4, 1930; Ed passed away August 26, 2021.

Whether you knew him as Ed, Grandpa, GPa, Uncle Ed, Uncle Eddie, Father, Daddy, Son or Brother; he was a friend to all whose lives he crossed paths with.

Ed leaves behind his sister Shirley Vonasek, Orland; his son Wayne

Murphy (Karen) Red Bluff, his daughter Bonnie Moreno (Augie) Vacaville and all their families. He also leaves behind the Penix family of Oklahy

oma, the Lacey family of Oakhurst and the Pendergrass family of Orland.

He always said he was blessed to have had three wonderful women in his life that brought so much family into his life. He was proud of his years working in the timber industry and then the Red Bluff School District.

He was also very proud of how the army called him back into service during the Korean war to train others.

Ed knew what it meant to work hard and expected others to do the same.

He drove, golfed, and gardened until the very end.

For the last 5 ½ years GPa had pancakes every Sunday at 10am. It became a family tradition. All of his family invites you to celebrate his life on September 26th, 2021 at 10am for a pancake breakfast at the Pendergrass home in Orland.
