Doherty says her battle with cancer is ‘part of life’

Shannen Doherty hopes to help educate people about cancer amid her battle with the disease. The “Beverly Hills, 90210? star on Tuesday said it’s important to know that people fighting stage 4cancer are “very much alive and very active,” according to People. Doherty, 50, announced in February 2020 that her breast cancer had returned after previously going into remission in 2017. “I’m stage 4,” Doherty said on “Good Morning America” at the time. “So my cancer came back, and that’s why I’m here.”
