A rebuttal for comments on Biden, Trump

Linda Cheffet’s response to my letter printed on 09/21 informed us, my letter WOKE her. In her first paragraph she states she is in recovery from four years of Trump and from the absurdity and danger of the Big Lie, though she does not state what the Big Lie is.

My original letter questioned where the outrage was towards President Biden for the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and the loss of life that followed. She addressed that issue by blaming Trump for leaving the final withdrawal to Biden. Cheffet failed to say Trump left Biden a negotiated deal with the Taliban that was condition based. She also failed to say Biden’s cut and run strategy failed miserably. Her premise that Biden made a moral decision to withdraw and try to put him on a pedestal does not pass the smell test, just ask the grieving families of the dead or the Americans left behind enemy lines.

Loss of life during the pandemic, though unrelated, takes center stage for Cheffet, blaming Trump for 700,000 deaths and his lack of moral leadership and empathy.

All I can get from Linda’s letter is Biden is moral for leaving Americans behind and Trump is immoral for providing the world with a vaccine in record time.
