Dallas Symphony to honor RBG with concert
The late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg may have left her greatest mark on the law, but she was also a champion for classical music. It is fitting, then, that the Dallas Symphony Orchestra will honor Ginsburg in a tribute concert on Oct. 7. For the event, the DSO has co-commissioned American composer Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize in music, to write a work for orchestra, piano and mezzo soprano. “If I don’t get goosebumps thinking about the idea, I say no,” she said.
